im a kite.


she has always referred to each and everyone of us as a kite.
her kites.

she controls how her kites fly.
she controls how high her kites soar.
she controls how low her kites fall.

she controls the strings.
when her kites are flying too low,
she loosens the strings, juz a little.
juz enough for the kites to remain airbound.
when the kites fly too high,
she will reel the kites in.
so the kites wun fly too far

i feel that she is too in control of the strings of her kites. afraid that her kite will soar too high and leave her. she forgets that sometimes kites cant be controlled all the time. they are not juz controlled by the person with the strings.

Kite No. 2 has long snapped from her strings. a result from reeling it in too tightly when all it wants is to soar. my only fear is that it may get caught in trees and can nvr come back. Kite No. 3 & 4 are fighting against the wind, struggling against the pull of the strings bounding them to her. the strings are frayed. juz waiting for the time to snap free.

now all that is left is Kite No. 1 still bound to her. bound by its responsibility to her. still in control. desire to soar high but has no heart to fight against the pull of the strings. too soft-hearted to leave her by flying too high.

despite all the things this kite has done for her, it is still the most battered-looking kite among the 4 kites. it is an obvious fact of her preference for her other kites. how much she takes care of them, ensuring that they are in their best condition. giving the other kites her love, devotion and attention. despite its sacrifices, this kite is left aside.

the kite now has no direction.
no will to fly animore.
did the kite make a wrong decision?
should it have fought harder to snap free?
